Hilary Felix
Candidate for Oakmont Borough Council
Hilary Felix moved to Oakmont in 2015. She and her husband, Braddon, live with their daughters in a home that they brought back to life. Once the weather breaks, you may catch her on the porch with her three poorly behaved dogs and two well behaved kids. Hilary earned a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Kutztown University, she owned a small book business and worked in Sales/Engineering Recruitment.
As Hilary and her family plan to spend their lives in Oakmont she is interested in collaborating with other Oakmont residents to create a more inclusive community—one that is safe for everyone and driven by the people who live there. Her greatest passion is advocating for human rights and working to address issues of racial justice, gender identity, and environmental inequity. Her favorite hobbies include crocheting for friends and family and collecting knick knacks from EN Miller.
Hilary is running for council because she wants to make the town a better place for her two daughters and all the children of Oakmont. To do this, Hilary believes we need to encourage economic development by better supporting local businesses and bringing new ideas for community businesses and organizations to fruition. With the changes Hilary envisions, she hopes more young families will be encouraged to move to Oakmont and make it their lifelong home.
